Projective lag synchronization of the general complex dynamical networks with distinct nodes

In this paper, projective lag synchronization of the general complex dynamical networks with different nodes is investigated. Combining Barbalat’s lemma with adaptive control technique, the adaptive feedback controllers are constructed to achieve projective lag synchronization between the dynamical network with diverse nodes and arbitrary desired trajectory. The presented synchronization method can be applied to any complex networks. It is discovered that the update gains, the time delay, the network size and the network topology have influence on the synchronization effect. Furthermore, projective lag synchronization of the dynamical networks can still be efficiently realized in presence of noise and parameter perturbations. Corresponding numerical simulations are performed to validate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed synchronization scheme.     

Virtual atomic and molecular data centre

The Virtual Atomic and Molecular Data Centre (VAMDC, http://www.vamdc.eu) is a European Union funded collaboration between groups involved in the generation, evaluation, and use of atomic and molecular data. VAMDC aims to build a secure, documented, flexible and interoperable e-science environment-based interface to existing atomic and molecular data. The project will cover establishing the core consortium, the development and deployment of the infrastructure and the development of interfaces to the existing atomic and molecular databases. It will also provide a forum for training potential users and dissemination of expertise worldwide. This review describes the scope of the VAMDC project; it provides a survey of the atomic and molecular data sets that will be included plus a discussion of how they will be integrated. Some applications of these data are also discussed.     

Local Functional Limit Theorems of Increments for Brownian Motion

In this paper, we present a local Csrg–Révész type functional limit theorem for increments of Brownian motion and give its convergence rate. The results also extend the functional forms of Lévy's modulus of continuity for Brownian motion.     

凸约束非光滑方程组一个新的谱梯度投影算法

基于寻找分离超平面的三种经典线搜索技术,本文提出了一种自适应线搜索技术.结合谱梯度投影法,提出了凸约束非光滑单调方程组的一个谱梯度投影算法.该算法不需要计算和存储任何矩阵,因而适合求解大规模非光滑的非线性单调方程组.在较弱的条件下,证明了方法的全局收敛性,并分析了算法的收敛率.数值试验结果表明算法是有效的和鲁棒的.     

Optimal rates for spectral algorithms with least-squares regression over Hilbert spaces

In this paper, we study regression problems over a separable Hilbert space with the square loss, covering non-parametric regression over a reproducing kernel Hilbert space. We investigate a class of spectral/regularized algorithms, including ridge regression, principal component regression, and gradient methods. We prove optimal, high-probability convergence results in terms of variants of norms for the studied algorithms, considering a capacity assumption on the hypothesis space and a general source condition on the target function. Consequently, we obtain almost sure convergence results with optimal rates. Our results improve and generalize previous results, filling a theoretical gap for the non-attainable cases.     

Erdős–Gyárfás conjecture for some families of Cayley graphs

The Paul Erd?s and András Gyárfás conjecture states that every graph of minimum degree at least 3 contains a simple cycle whose length is a power of two. In this paper, we prove that the conjecture holds for Cayley graphs on generalized quaternion groups, dihedral groups, semidihedral groups and groups of order \(p^3\).     

Constantin and Iyer’s Representation Formula for the Navier–Stokes Equations on Manifolds

The purpose of this paper is to establish a probabilistic representation formula for the Navier–Stokes equations on compact Riemannian manifolds. Such a formula has been provided by Constantin and Iyer in the flat case of ? ⁿ or of T ⁿ . On a Riemannian manifold, however, there are several different choices of Laplacian operators acting on vector fields. In this paper, we shall use the de Rham–Hodge Laplacian operator which seems more relevant to the probabilistic setting, and adopt Elworthy–Le Jan–Li’s idea to decompose it as a sum of the square of Lie derivatives.     

Periodic Solution and Stationary Distribution of Stochastic Predator–Prey Models with Higher-Order Perturbation

In this paper, two stochastic predator–prey models with general functional response and higher-order perturbation are proposed and investigated. For the nonautonomous periodic case of the system, by using Khasminskii’s theory of periodic solution, we show that the system admits a nontrivial positive T-periodic solution. For the system disturbed by both white and telegraph noises, sufficient conditions for positive recurrence and the existence of an ergodic stationary distribution to the solutions are established. The existence of stationary distribution implies stochastic weak stability to some extent.
